SNC Mini-Scuffle: Power Rankings

1. Grumpy Bears
These future ZGG Gold league participants look strong in every lane, and their new starting mid laner --  Dark Kreutz (Socileo) is taking over for DarthSunTzu --  has already displayed his prowess in last night’s scrim versus Sunset Ravens. From our scouting department, “there are no foreseeable exploits here, and the core three of HilkTV, Natoa, and Nocent seem to have a lot of time put in together.” We’ll see if any of the other SNC teams can put up a challenge against Grumpy Bears, but for now, these are the favorites to take it all!

2. Radiant Twilight
Featuring a support carry in RGE Wildstar that can help his laners get fed — or take over the game himself — Radiant Twilight will have the type of jungle and top pressure that will enable their ADC to scale into late game. Radiant might be the newest SNC IBS team but they’ve been practicing the most lately, so we’ll put them at number two on the power rankings.

3. Sunset Ravens
As one of the best mid laners in the tourney, substitute SNC Mayhem always has solo kill potential. Every other lane here is also super solid, with the bot lane duo of Xandradraeda and whatbotlane already established as having winning synergy. Edit: Scorpio Darkwood will take over support duties for whatbotlane today, so with that unknown X-factor, we’ll slot Sunset Ravens just below Radiant Twilight.

4. Sun Guardians
Working with just two of their regular players — SNC Hades and SNC Titan — the Guardians could find themselves lacking in coordinated team play. ADC sub SNC Cerionna has high carry potential — assuming he doesn’t run it down — and adding super-fill CT Albedo to the jungle will turn that into an area of strength heading into the Scuffle. Sun Guardians are hard to guage on paper, but could have a dark horse chance to take it all.

SNC Pack: WK1

In a shocking turn of events, SNC is undefeated after one week of official comp games. From mere babies who won just one match in Proton League to running the table so far in 2023. Where should we put the statue? Whose faces should go on Mount Snackmore? Do we disband as soon as one team loses? Do we just FF now?! While we don’t care about the wins here at SNC--have fun is priority one--it sure is nice to be on top of the Rift for a few moments. Thanks guys! And thank you all for your hard work and patience through the off-season, it's looking like we'll have a great split across the board! (Note: The following logos are not actual logos, they are either works in progress or previously rejected ones...) Sunset Ravens (2-0) After hitting an absolute nadir as a team just about a month ago, Ravens has really come together over the past few weeks, with every player working on their game and most importantly, working together! All that togetherness culminated in an impressive 2-1 BO...

A Guide to LOL IBS Teams

After some time in the amateur League of Legends IBS (Iron Bronze Silver) community, I’ve seen a number of same names pop up over and over again.  Since IBS is where many new players to “comp”—competitive—enter the scene, I thought it would be useful to give a quick overview of some of the more common destinations for the new LOL traveler. Welcome to Runeterra, welcome to IBS! [ LOL IBS Orgs Questionnaire ]   Note: The content of this post will be updated as feedback comes in. If you’d like to be given a capsule and have been on the IBS scene for at least one split, fill this out and I’ll do my best to get it in!  If there’s any edits or adds to be made to the current capsules, please do tell! TD The reigning kings of IBS, TD stands for whatever is up to your personal interpretation. The easiest association for TD is to call them "team diff," as they have won more titles than any other org. TD even placed three of their teams into the first ever IBS Amateur Worlds ...

SNC Mighty Pandas: End 2023

SNC Mighty Pandas (Series: 5-2, Games: 11-6) As one of our longer running teams, Sunset Ravens was formed back in SNC’s new era , having started about four splits ago. Last year’s leader, SNC WildStar, returned for duty once again and found himself surrounded by new faces—which also induced the name change to “Mighty Pandas.” While under heavy recruitment from other orgs and teams, WildStar knew his home was here at Snack Bears, where the snacks are salty and the jokes are sweet. New jungler eaglei1313 came via Twempest Fwame, as a friend of Amanda’s. Phallic Phenom and JamiesTurnTV were both new to SNC, teammates from a past Glacial teams And last but never least, there was Adarasto, who played with SNC’s own Grumpy Bears way back when. Over time, eaglei1313 had to unfortunately take a sub position due to time constraints and so another ex-Grumpy, XtheBeard, joined Mighty as the starting jungler. The core Mighty four played all fifteen games together this season, with XtheBeard gett...
